Privacy Policy

Byer ("we", "us", "our") operates byer.ai and provides a conversational AI buying agent for wholesalers and resellers. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We're building Byer in public, so this policy will be updated as the product evolves — material changes will be dated at the top.

What we collect

When you request early access, we collect only what you enter in the chat form:

• Your preferred chat channel (WhatsApp or Telegram)
• Your WhatsApp number or Telegram handle — so Byer can reach you in that chat
• The free-form message you write describing what you source — including whatever details you choose to share about your business, brands, order sizes, price targets, and sales channels

You control what goes into the message. Please avoid including sensitive information (payment details, government IDs, passwords) — we don't need any of that to match you with suppliers.

What we don't collect

• We do not collect an email address on this form
• We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers on this page
• We do not collect payment, bank, or government ID information on this page
• We do not fingerprint your device
• We do not sell your data, ever

Why we collect it

• To contact you on WhatsApp or Telegram about your early access and category launches
• To match you with relevant suppliers and inventory once the product is live

Where your data lives

Form submissions are transmitted to Formspree, the form-processing service we use to capture leads while we're in early access. Formspree stores the submission in their secure dashboard and emails a copy to Byer's founding team. See Formspree's privacy policy for their practices. When we outgrow Formspree we'll move to our own backend and update this policy.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers we use to operate the site — currently Formspree (lead capture) and Vercel (hosting). Each of these providers processes data under their own policies.
• Suppliers in our network, but only with your explicit consent when you submit a purchase offer through the agent. We never expose your sourcing profile to other resellers.
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by applicable law.

How long we keep it

We retain your contact information for as long as you remain on the waitlist or an active user. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our Formspree dashboard and internal records within 30 days.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• Ask what information we have on you
• Ask us to correct or update it
• Ask us to delete it entirely
• Ask us to stop messaging you on WhatsApp or Telegram — just reply STOP in the chat

Send any of these requests to privacy@byer.ai and we'll respond within 30 days.

International users

Byer operates from the United States. If you're submitting from the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with its own privacy law, you have the rights granted by that law in addition to the rights above. The lawful basis for processing your information is your consent when you submit the form and our legitimate interest in operating the product.

Cookies

This page does not set tracking cookies. We may add minimal analytics in the future; if we do, we'll update this policy and use a privacy-preserving provider that does not track users across sites.

Children

Byer is a business-to-business product. The site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date at the top whenever this policy changes. For material changes, we'll email everyone on the list before the change takes effect.
